STOVE ENAMELLING
Stove enamelling is like air drying paint. It is administered as you’d expect to see a car sprayed in a garage, but the curing is accelerated by stoving at high temperatures over 100 degrees Celcius.
Our stove enamelling service offers a full cleaning and pre-treatment including castings de-gassing (for a harder quicker finish from baking the wet spray paint).
We mask to the required specifications, identify tagging and always ensure full attention to detail with our batch control and quality inspection so that any inclusions or imperfections are addressed before any wrapping, packing or dispatch that our plastics wet spraying service uses.
The highest quality plastic primers and paints are applied for long term adhesion, and we use various pre-treatments to suit your products, including:
- Chromate free etch primer
- Phosphates
- Mordent solution
- Zinc wet primers
- Zinc powder primers
- Bead blasting

Stove enamelling requires use of our on-site oven and requires skilful application. When done correctly, it guarantees to achieve an incredibly smooth finish. It is also a great choice for items that require us to mask them off for the coating to be applied to distinct areas and where you want to have a new colour applied over an old one.
when STOVE ENAMELLING may not be the right choice
Like with wet spraying, solvents need to be used in the stove enamelling process, so if being eco-friendly is top of your agenda, then it may not be the best choice for you. Similarly, if the end-use of you item is an environment that is likely to chip the coating, an alternative coating may be preferable.
